Welcome, one and all!

I am Katie Pecho, a Chicago-based writer, filmmaker, comedian, designer, editor, and gooftrooper extraordinaire. My short comedy film You Are Going to Love it Here was an official selection of the 2021 Revival Film Festival, and my upcoming comedy series Dicomfortable was a finalist in the 2020 Yes, And... Laughter Lab Comedy Contest.

And as I write with the voracity of a warthog at a buffet, I always have (too many) other projects in the works.

I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where my creative nonfiction essay was selected as a finalist for the National Undergraduate Literature Conference. After a wild ride of comically irrelevant jobs (bouncy castle attendant, etc.), I now reside in the fabulous world of freelance writing where my passion is to dazzle, delight and direct with the power of language. I write everything from comedy to copy, satire to social media, screenplays to resumes. There is no niche of writing I won’t try to get my hands on. Creative skills are like Pokémon— you gotta catch ‘em all.
